Monday morning I received a message from the the group chat, It said what it usually says " group meeting to today around 145"? We all then would respond and figure out the best time to meet for everyone. The people in my group play spots and some work so sometimes if you can't make it you could just set up individual meetings with Lauren. During this meeting we discussed what new things can we do to gain some attention. Should we recruit to make our group stronger? What can we do outside of the University (In town) to create more awareness to help with game attendance? what can we do different game wise, to get students to be more involved? These were just some general questions we discussed but couldn't really decide on what we wanted to do. Lauren told us to go home, think about it and we'll decide next meeting. Thats exactly what we did. Meetings are fun to attend its not all serious, it's a relaxed atmosphere.
It's the start of the football game and the wind is getting the best of everyone today!! This wind just wouldn't leave you alone, it would find a way to just annoy you!! As the day goes on I noticed the wind picking up, and that meant bad news for our merchandise. We sell our merchandise outside under a huge object that helps keep out some wind. However, keeping out the wind was no longer happening things were blowing everywhere. Merchandise was now hard to hold down and keep it looking nice and the same time. Most people where in a hurry to get home so business wasn't really going too well today. We made the decision to pack up the TU gear as a group and call it a day. We were able to either stay and watch the game or you could have went back home.
Today is the day were we go and transport merchandise from the Gilmore center over to the football field. It took several trips with 4 to 5 people caring two to three boxes each. Loading the truck was fun but it also was a pain. Once we got all of the merchandise out of Gilmore and onto the back of the truck we then start our adventure towards the field. Once we got to the field we would then begin to unload the merchandise and set it up on tables for the fans. Working in retail for a couple months helped me realize that we can make our merchandise more appealing based off how well we folded our stuff or based off where we placed the athletic appeal vs the casual appeal. I folded up the merchandise and placed them with the right pairs and just changing that helped create a little more awareness for selling out Tiffin Athletic Appeal. Today we got better as a team. #MakingProgress
